Growing up in the 70s and 80s, I lived for bake sale day at school. I would stand in front of the folding table set up for this most auspicious event, clutching 50 cents in my sweaty, 8-year-old palm. Staring at all those home baked treats individually, lovingly wrapped in sandwich baggies and secured with a twist tie would make my head spin -- brownies, chocolate chip cookies, M&M cookies, rice krispie treats, popcorn balls!

And then I had to go gluten and dairy free. It was much later in life, but the bake sale flavors had imprinted on my brain, and for the last 15 years I’ve been chasing those flavors again, but without the gluten, dairy or refined sugar.

Hello! I’m Andrea, and I’ve spent the past decade and a half low-key annoyed I couldn’t find simple, fresh-baked, gluten- and dairy-free cookies that taste like the ones I grew up eating. Sure, GF/DF cookies exist, but most are cranked full of refined sugar and other non-nutritive ingredients. So I did what any normal person obsessed with creating the perfect cookie would do and left my 20-year consulting career to start a bakery.

Leaning on my lifelong love of baking and cooking, I’ve spent countless hours researching and sourcing the best ingredients and recipe-testing to create baked goods that bring back the flavors from my pre-GF/DF days.

I’m overjoyed to bring you Bell Bottom Bakery, specializing in gluten-, dairy-, and refined-sugar-free, baked-to-order, bakery items made from the highest quality ingredients available. Most of our ingredients are organic, and the majority of our items are vegan. My hope is they make you feel like a 1970s grade schooler on bake sale day.
